Khan rushed to hospital with mystery illness

WBA world light-welterweight champion Amir Khan has been rushed to hospital after collapsing at his home.




The 23-year-old told his family in Bolton on Sunday night that he did not feel well and was taken to the private Beaumont Hospital for tests.

"Doctors think he may have been bitten by something on his travels," a family friend told the Sun.

"He's talking to visitors but is very weak."

Khan took a holiday in Egypt recently after the successful defence of his world title against Paulie Malignaggi in New York in May.

He also flew to South Africa, via Dubai, to watch the World Cup and had been complaining of a temperature and feeling drained since returning home.
